The first came earlier this year in May, when Clara was nominated for the ‘DB Innovation’ category for Pensions Expert’s inaugural Innovation Awards. After a day filled with insightful discussions across the categories – which included DC innovation, scheme technology innovation, and adviser innovation – Clara was named as winners of the DB innovation award, drawing praise from the judges for both the Sears and Debenhams transactions.

The award served as welcome recognition for the hard work undertaken by all those involved in both the Sears and Debenhams transactions.

Later in June, Clara was shortlisted for another award – the Alternative Endgame Solution Provider of the Year, at the Professional Pensions UK Pensions Awards. With a wide range of categories and prestigious awards up for grabs, many of the Pensions’ industry’s most important companies and organisations were there, from insurers to consultants to some of the country’s biggest schemes, including Clara’s partner Van Lanschot Kempen.

Amid such an impressive group of attendees, Clara was delighted to win the award of Alternative Endgame Solution Provider of the Year, narrowly beating TPT retirement solutions who were highly commended.

Clara’s own Simon True and Jayne Pocock were there to accept the award, with Jayne saying “It was a great evening all round, and the cherry on the cake was winning the award. I felt very privileged being able to collect this with Simon on behalf of the Clara Team.”
